Who you are
- Strong recruitment experience from similar organisation
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter with strong sourcing and networking skills
- Experience using Workday is highly desirable but not essential
- Experience across multiple recruitment methods including interviewing and assessing
- An organised nature with the ability to prioritise workload inline with business needs
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive can-do attitude and people focused
- Coaching skills on both the candidate and stakeholder side
- Pro-active attitude with the ability to show initiative with a positive style
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team; at Boden we believe in the power of our people, which is why we go to great lengths to attract the best talent
- Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will be a seasoned recruiter with a people-centric approach to hiring
- As a brand ambassador, you will ensure candidates have an great experience as they join Boden, while also collaborating with the business to guide them through every stage of the recruitment process
- Be responsible for the fast-paced end to end Talent Acquisition process for recruitment throughout Boden
- Use a variety of sourcing methods to attract high quality candidates that demonstrate our brand values
- Continuously think of new and innovative ways to attract external candidates. Direct sourcing is key at Boden, whether that be networking, employee referrals or market mapping via LinkedIn
- Pre-empt vacancies due to internal moves/high risk leavers and prompt hiring managers where necessary
- Alongside the Talent Acquisition Manager share our strong brand ethos and promote our unique company culture
- Use Workday on a daily basis - our recruiting and HR system
- Review and analyse data to improve and enhance the recruitment process
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers throughout Boden, providing a commercial perspective and always be solution focused
- Build strong relationships with our People Business Partners to align and work together
- Support the Talent Acquisition Manager in maintaining relationships with agencies, universities or job boards

Initially set up as a mail order company in 1991, Boden has since become a major UK fashion brand specialising in quality clothing designed to stand the test of time. They have 2 million active customers worldwide, and have attracted high profile buyers including Kate Middleton, Michelle Obama, and Holly Willoughby.
Previously relying on catalogue sales, they were unable to achieve the real time responsiveness vital in today’s retail industry. As a result, in the past few years Boden’s heavily invested in modernising their IT systems and created a new way to capture data on their site. Having adapted to changing consumer behaviours, now 95% of their sales happen online, enabling them to compete with the growing number of eCommerce competitors like ME + EM and Mint Velvet.
This new digital approach has not been their only success in recent years. Traditionally, many UK retailers have failed to gain a foothold in the US. However, the company’s quintessential British branding has successfully set them apart, leading to Boden’s US sales already overtaking those in the UK and the business continues to grow faster there.
Moving forwards, Boden is overcoming a 2023 dip in sales triggered by an unneeded menswear revamp that lost sight of its core customer base. It is now reverting back to its classic formula and planning on further expansion in the US, determined to double sales in the next few years.
