- 2+ years of experience as a Frontend Engineer, partnering closely with Product and Design teams to develop intuitive, user-focused applications

- You have experience in React.js, JavaScript and TypeScript, next to that, you are passionate for Test Driven Development
- Preferably, you have worked in an agile environment before

What the job involves
- We're on the lookout for a Frontend Engineer to join our Staffbase team and help us build an awesome internal communications platform
- As part of our tech stack, we are using: React.js, Javascript, Typescript, Tailwind CSS, Kotlin, Go, Java, MongoDB, Terraform, Docker and Playwright, to name a few
- Join our dynamic, cross-functional international team and help shape the future of media and file management, crafting intuitive and engaging experiences that empower communicators worldwide
- Our mission is to make every image, video, and file feel effortless, fast, and secure, giving customers the confidence to manage their content without friction
- Here, you’ll collaborate closely with design, product, and backend engineers to continuously improve our File Manager and related media tools
- Responsible for improving and developing both our web-based clients, including native apps, and our RESTful web services
- Work in a cross-functional scrum team and produce high-quality and tested code
- Give and receive valuable feedback in our code review process and continuously learn and share knowledge with your peers
- Being open to feedback and taking ownership of your work are essential
- Take ownership for the topics you care about, ranging from the features you produce over the quality of our work to the environment we work in
- You work iteratively, frequently pushing code, ensuring a good CI/CD pipeline, and automating where possible
Our take
Since launching in 2014, Staffbase has grown into a major name in the internal communications niche. Its platform is used by the likes of Samsung, ALDI, DHL, and Domino’s to create branded, mobile-first communication and information sharing tools which can access a company’s intranet from anywhere.
Staffbase has managed to set itself apart to some extent from the range of other internal communication apps like Slack and Teams by focusing on building a product tailored towards dedicated internal communication teams, rather than taking a more general approach.
This is proving to be a good decision as, with the shift to remote and hybrid working, the last few years have seen Staffbase gather serious momentum. A 2021 merger with Canadian competitor Banantang has been followed up by a series of major funding rounds and a rise to unicorn status. As well as this, it’s been expanding its own product portfolio through a number of strategic acquisitions as it looks to stay ahead of the competition.
