Who you are
- The ideal candidate has experience and/or demonstrated interest in AI-based products and solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Proven experience in brand management and marketing program management
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a marketing role
- Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to coordinate complex marketing initiatives
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in event planning and coordination
- Familiarity with marketing tools and software (e.g., CRM, marketing automation platforms)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Extreme agility and a strong bias towards action (you will need to roll up your sleeves and produce one minute and zoom out and strategize the next)
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast-paced startup environment
- You will be working from anywhere in the USA, UK, Germany, or Serbia
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Manager - Strategy, Brand, and Events to join our Marketing team
- You will lead our brand management efforts and coordinate a wide range of events and marketing activities to ensure a unified brand voice and messaging
- You will be reporting to the Senior Director, Customer Office (Marketing, Business Development, and Operations)
- The Senior Marketing Manager - Brand & Events is a strategic and hands-on role, critical to the Marketing function
- You will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders
- Overall, the position plays a crucial role in maintaining, improving, and raising awareness of our brand's value and reputation
- Brand Management:
- Lead our brand management efforts, defining how we want to be perceived externally
- Build the brand strategy for Rasa and set annual goals and messages
- Ensure consistency of branded messaging and deliverables across all external channels
- Event Coordination:
- Act as the point person for all external and internal events
- Manage and coordinate community and trade show events
- Plan and execute in-person lunch and dinner events in targeted metro areas
- Secure customer speakers and collaborate with them to develop event topics and agendas
- Partner with the demand generation team to drive interest in events
- Program Management:
- Act as the lead program manager for Marketing, ensuring the coordination of various marketing efforts
- Ensure a unified brand voice and messaging across all marketing initiatives, including those targeting businesses, practitioners, developers, and the open-source community
Our take
Rasa is a platform for AI-led personalized conversations. There’s no shortage of competition in this market, with the likes of Google’s Dialogflow and Microsoft’s LUIS, but Rasa has taken a different approach. It moves away from the standard ’this question receives this response’ hard-coded chat bots to a system that uses AI technologies to understand what the customer is saying in context.
Rasa's open source platform has grown a large community which has helped with integrating the system into a wide range of messaging platforms, and in creating extensions to the functionality of the system. This in turn has increased its use and popularity.
While Rasa is coming under increasing pressure from a swarm of chatbot providers powered by ChatGPT and other generative AIs, Rasa has integrated large language models into its own platform. This, combined with recent funding and recognition as a leader in generative conversational AI, puts the company in a very good position going forward.
