Who you are

Proven experience building and scaling frontend applications using React and TypeScript
Familiarity working within microfrontend architectures or modular UI patterns
Solid understanding of testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress
Experience working with Storybook to develop and test components in isolation
A strong product mindset with attention to detail and an understanding of what makes a great user experience
Clear, effective communication and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
Availability to participate in the on-call rotation, responding to business-critical issues as needed

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in building and maintaining reusable frontend components for an exciting new product going from 0 to 1. You’ll work closely with other engineers, designers, and product managers to create high-quality, performant, and scalable interfaces that power seamless user experiences
You’ll contribute to the evolution of our frontend architecture, applying modern frontend best practices and working within a microfrontend environment. Technologies you'll use include React, TypeScript, Node.js, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL. This position reports to one of our Engineering Managers and is part of the Contact Management team
Building and maintaining scalable UI components with a focus on reusability and performance, contributing to a growing design system and component library
Collaborating cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and other engineers to implement new features and improve existing functionality
Writing high-quality, tested code using modern frontend technologies and frameworks, ensuring a smooth and accessible user experience
Contributing to the frontend architecture by advocating for best practices in modularity, testing, and maintainability
Participating in code reviews, technical discussions, and team ceremonies, offering thoughtful feedback and helping the team grow together
Partnering on implementation plans for complex features, breaking down tasks into clear, manageable pieces that align with business goals

Our take

Calendly is a cloud-based scheduling service that is straightforward to use. It allows around 10 million customers per month to connect and make appointments based on their available times without having to send emails back and forth.

The platform offers four different plans - allowing individuals, small companies, and large enterprises alike to make use of these services. Calendly's growth to date been based mostly around a very organic strategy. Its invites become links to Calendly itself, so people who like it can, and do, start to use it.

There are a handful of competing products on the market, including offerings from Doodle and Microsoft, but Calendly's customer-friendly design has won it attention and allowed it to carve itself a space in the field. Impressive funding has contributed to the company's expansion, allowing it to capitalize on the increasing popularity of home and hybrid working.
