Role

Who you are

  • Experience within a Staff Engineer role where you can bring hands-on leadership experience
  • Full stack with extensive .NET experience, and a polygot approach to technology
  • Proven expertise in software system design, architecture, development and testing
  • Strong ability to break complex requirements into component parts and develop a clear technical vision
  • Experience working in a two-sided marketplace, scale-ups or big tech environments
  • Familiarity with subscription-based sales journeys or ad-tech/campaigns is a strong advantage

What the job involves

  • As a Staff Engineer at Checkatrade, you’ll take ownership of our Trade Products, key sales flows, product setup, and lead monetisation, directly impacting our core revenue streams
  • You’ll play a vital role in balancing supply and demand across diverse sectors and locations, ensuring we offer tailored products for every Trade member
  • Working predominantly with .NET on the backend, you’ll also need to bring strong React, TypeScript, and full-stack expertise to the table
  • Your ability to break down complex product requirements and structure scalable technical solutions, while documenting along the way, will be crucial to Checkatrade’s success
