What the job involves
- The Director, Marketing (Travel Products) will lead our CLEAR marketing strategy for all CLEAR-owned travel products (CLEAR Plus, CLEAR Mobile, CLEAR Reserve)
- You will work closely with our channel owners and external partners to develop comprehensive multi-channel marketing strategies to target new and existing CLEAR Members
- Establish and drive CLEAR’s marketing strategy across multiple channels for CLEAR-owned travel products, and serve as our primary marketing point of contact for CLEAR product owners
- Oversee the CLEAR-owned travel product marketing ecosystem, ensuring messaging and campaign alignment; develop the marketing roadmap and KPI’s for each individual product
- Own campaign moments (airport launches, new benefits launches, etc.), leading cross-functional teams to deliver a cohesive marketing campaign that will achieve the determined goals
- Work closely with our Marketing and Communications channel owners and other internal teams (Marketing, Legal, Finance, Operations, etc.) to drive acquisition, retention, and upsell opportunities/Membership benefits usage for CLEAR-owned travel products
- Drive consumer insights research and other data-driven learning opportunities
- Develop messaging frameworks for CLEAR-owned travel products to drive consistency across assets
- Generate and share accurate and timely marketing results in the form of reports, presentations, etc
- Cohesive campaign moments executed flawlessly
- Growth of CLEAR upsell opportunities (e.g. Family Attach) and benefits usage (e.g. Bags)
- Overall insight-driven growth in under penetrated markets
Our take

The company creates a single touchless ID based on a user’s biometrics, such as their eyes and face, enabling quick identity verification and frictionless travel.
CLEAR continues to develop its product, and is now moving beyond airports into office buildings, restaurants, and stadiums. The technology has already been used by several sports and entertainment partners, including multiple NBA teams and in the Super Bowl.
The company went public on the NYSE in June 2021 following a strategic funding round of $100M, which is being invested into accelerating the company's growth whilst expanding its offerings. Its technology is now being used for age verification, virtual queuing, and checking in.
