Who you are
- Several years of iOS development experience with strong skills in Swift and SwiftUI
- Proficiency in Swift concurrency, Combine, and modern Git workflows
- Experience with Linear or similar issue-tracking/project tools
- High standards for code quality and constructive code reviews
- A collaborative teammate with a self-driven, proactive approach who enjoys contributing to product discussions
- A strong interest in new technology and in building great products together
- Fluency in English, spoken and written
What the job involves
- As our iOS Engineer, you won’t just build features - you’ll help shape the future of the Tibber app, used by around 650.000 unique customers every month. We take great pride in our product and aim for a top-tier user experience
- You’ll work with a modern stack (Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, GraphQL), mainly building new features while continuously improving and refactoring the codebase. Here you’ll have the opportunity to influence the product roadmap and collaborate closely with people who care deeply about both technology and our customer experience
- Drive the app forward through iterative development, owning new features that support our product goals
- Work with Swift, SwiftUI, Combine and GraphQL while maintaining a scalable architecture and healthy codebase
- Safeguard a smooth, coherent and visually refined user experience across the app
- Collaborate with designers and both mobile and backend engineers to shape solutions end-to-end
- Contribute to team growth, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of how we build and deliver the app

Our take
The average household today is in a position to purchase electricity from a range of suppliers, but classically will only buy from one. Tibber supplies an AI for households to purchase energy from a number of suppliers, at the best prices at the best time of day, to reduce their electricity costs, alongside helping them to reduce usage in their homes.
The platform was built as a response to outdated utility management tools. Users access the service via an app, with the AI purchasing electricity automatically at the lowest possible price, as well as alerting customers to consume energy during the cheapest hours of the day.
The Tibber hub for smart homes is able to connect various energy sources, such as solar panels and EV chargers, to enable more intelligent electricity production as well as consumption. The company has seen huge amounts of investment, serves hundreds of thousands of households, and has its sights set on continued expansion across Europe.
