Magic Leap was created to act as a pioneer in the augmented reality and mixed reality sector. The company's main product is Magic Leap Two, a proprietary mixed-reality headset marketed to enterprise customers.
Despite this, Magic Leap did not always sell to this audience. The headset was originally aimed towards individual consumers, with a focus placed on top level gaming. However, the high price tag deterred customers, and so the company pivoted to instead set their sights on enterprise customers in health, defence, transport and more.
Magic Leap still faces potential competition from next-gen devices such as the 120-degree field of view (compared to Magic Leap's 44 x 53 degrees) glasses from Ant Reality. However, Magic Leap Two has benefitted from early-release customers including Cisco, SentiAR, NeuroSync, Heru, Taqtile, PTC, and Brainlab. Regardless, Magic Leap must start work on its next iteration to keep up with the competition, or at least keep updating Magic Leap Two.
