Who you are
- 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably at a high-growth technology company or startup
- Ability to effectively influence business leaders to shape hiring strategies
- Proven experience with complex candidate closes
- Organizational and time-management skills with superb attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A passion and excitement for building exceptional teams
- An ability to operate with a high sense of urgency while not compromising on attention to detail
- A customer-focused attitude, excellent interpersonal skills to handle all levels within an organization, and a track record of providing a high-touch experience to both candidates and hiring managers
What the job involves
- The recruiting team is responsible for driving GlossGenius’ success by finding extraordinary people that are excited by our mission to empower entrepreneurship.
- You will be responsible for full-lifecycle recruiting across a diverse set of departments and levels including but not limited to Marketing, Sales, Strategy, G&A, and Customer Experience
- You will report to the Manager of Business Recruiting. This role will operate in a hybrid environment with 2 days per week in our New York City office (Tuesdays & Thursdays)
- Partner with senior leaders to deeply understand their hiring needs and execute against them to support business initiatives
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for multiple searches at once across a variety of departments and levels
- Analyze conversion metrics throughout the pipeline and provide recommendations on how to make our processes more efficient
- Manage the entire offer process end to end including extending offers and complex negotiations
- Create creative sourcing strategies to differentiate GlossGenius at the top of funnel
- Leverage tools like Greenhouse and Gem to track candidate progress, resurface existing talent, and ensure high-quality data integrity
- Manage stakeholder relationships and leverage data to influence decision-making and recruiting related strategies

Business management platforms exist for a wide range of industries, including retail, hospitality, and healthcare. However, despite a modern facade the beauty industry lacks specialised software and still runs on generic CRMs and basic spreadsheets. Recognising a gap in the market, GlossGenius has stepped in to provided a specialised business management platform for beauty salons, spas and studios.
With no competition in this niche, GlossGenius has swiftly captured a large market share, with triple-digit year on year revenue growth. It serves over 40,000 businesses (70% of which are women-owned) and has more than $2 billion in annual transactions on the platform.
GlossGenius has raised a large amount of capital in several funding rounds closed in quick succession. It is aiming to accelerate platform development off the back of its releasing of consumer experience, payment and automation products. It is well on the way to fulfilling its long-term aim of developing into the Toast of the beauty industry.
