Who you are

  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with 5+ years in sales leadership
  • Proven track record of building and scaling successful sales teams from the ground up
  • Experience selling technical platforms or infrastructure software to enterprise customers
  • Strong understanding of modern software development and cloud technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, and retain top sales talent
  • History of consistently exceeding team revenue targets
  • Experience implementing and driving sales methodologies
  • Track record of building relationships with technical and business leaders
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex systems
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York City area
  • Experience in early-stage, high-growth technology companies

What the job involves

  • We're seeking an exceptional sales leader to build and drive our Enterprise Sales team based out of New York City
  • Viam's open architecture platform is enabling the next frontier of innovation, helping teams leverage data, cloud, and AI to transform how devices and machines work in the real world
  • This role will focus on developing a high-performing team that can identify, pursue, and close strategic opportunities across Food and Beverage, Marine, Manufacturing, Robotics, Climate, Smart Buildings and Infrastructure, and more
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a team of high-performing Enterprise Account Executives
  • Define and execute sales strategy across key industries and verticals
  • Build and maintain accurate forecasts while driving team accountability
  • Coach and enable your team to navigate complex enterprise sales cycles
  • Create repeatable processes for territory planning and account targeting
  • Partner with technical teams to identify and unlock new use cases
  • Drive adoption of sales methodology and best practices across your team
  • Work closely with marketing to develop industry-specific value propositions
