Role
Who you are
- 5+ years work experience in the Fintech / payments industry (domestic / international)
- 5+ years work experience developing channel partnerships with ISVs, Payfacs, eCommerce Platforms, and PSPs
- Well connected in the Payments and technology partner ecosystem while possessing the ability to self source opportunities and work with existing partners (like PSPs) to gather new channel partner referral opportunities
- Strong listening skills to identify what prospects lack and desire to enhance in their current digital payments experience
- A person who appreciates taking responsibility of her/his deliverables without the constant need for guidance
- Excellent organizational skills as we are a flat organization with a lot of autonomy
- A strong communicator with experience in building and managing relationships across multiple levels of an organization
- A well rounded understanding of the payments ecosystem from how payment transactions flow from shopper to merchant. Payments knowledge is a must
- Strong experience working with channel partners to identify strategic ways of partnering (i.e. referral, reseller and embedded tech partnerships)
- You have exceptional people skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships at all levels of management and day-to-day team members
- You grasp the big picture, but enjoy digging into the details
- Offices in Denver, New York and San Francisco (Open to Remote)
- You have full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in English
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Channel Sales Business Development AE to help build, and scale Skipify’s partner ecosystem, with a keen focus on ISV’s, Payfacs, Payment Orchestration Platforms and Payment Processors
- Bringing both business and product acumen you will identify, develop, cultivate, and broaden Skipify’s strategic partnerships
- You will work with our commercial team to collaborate in go-to-market activities, through relationship building, joint go-to-market planning, conferences, market data analytics, training, webinars, co-marketing activities, and of course your own ideas and initiatives
- You’ll work closely with a number of teams (Engineering, Product, Sales, Onboarding and Implementations, Account Management, etc.) to accomplish the goal of building strategic, successful relationships with these partners
- Identifying key channel partners that will integrate Skipify into their card not present offerings, delivering merchant distribution of our solution stack
- Prospecting and full cycle sales of net new channel partnerships (ISVs, Payfacs, PSPs, and eCommerce Platforms, with a keen eye to the details and development of said partners GTM and enablement process
- Working alongside Skipify product and Integration team members during late stages to navigate integration path, timing and roll out strategy
- Collaboration with Account/Partner Management team members to help drive deeper relationships with partners whom you cultivated relationships with
- Maintaining Pipeline, notes and next steps with all prospective partnerships with a high level of hygiene
- Drive strategic roadmap discussions with partners
- Elevate Skipify’s influence and positioning by facilitating joint product development, co-marketing, and business development discussions
- Support commercial and strategic activities for partners
- Internal Subject Matter Expert of partnerships to the rest of the Skipify organization – including partner profile, features, onboarding, implementation processes, etc

Skipify was founded in 2018 to help brands of all sizes boost sales across numerous marketing channels. The idea is to offer a way of incorporating instant, one-click purchasing into emails, blog posts, and even text messages - a feature generally available only to the better-resourced e-commerce giants like Amazon and Instagram.
The means to provide frictionless e-commerce should prove attractive to vendors looking to encourage sales. Over two thirds of carts are reportedly abandoned by online shoppers. With the past years seeing online shopping activity increase almost five-fold, the ability to smoothly net more of these potential customers is becoming an increasing sticking point for many online vendors. Skipify’s multi-channel solution is not only promising, it also seems relatively efficient: its email app requires no additional coding on the part of vendors.
In spite its relatively youth as a company, Skipify's services are already used by the likes of Google, Twilio, and Klaviyo ans it has gone on to partner with Amex. This gives the company an edge in the increasingly competitive e-commerce space, and with some strong funding and backing from industry giants like PayPal, the company is well-positioned to further develop its offerings.
