Who you are
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer
- Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in test automation, both frontend and backend, with tools such as Cypress and Playwright using TypeScript
- Experience building and/or supporting scalable test automation solutions
- Comprehensive knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization
- Comprehensive knowledge of test concepts at all stages of the software development lifecycle
- Proven experience in test specification, preparation, execution, and reporting
- General knowledge of at least one database management system (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc)
- Robust analytical and organizational skills; adept at multitasking
- Strong communication abilities enabling effective interaction with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Confidence, attention to detail, and a strong motivation to contribute to the organization's growth within a high-performing team
What the job involves
- We are looking for a highly motivated Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Product Engineering team at Storyblok. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our flagship CMS platform, empowering businesses to create and deliver seamless digital content experiences.
- Working closely with product owners, designers, and developers, your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining automated tests, developing thorough testing plans, conducting rigorous tests, and refining QA strategies to maintain best-in-class software quality. You will contribute to delivering a superior user experience for our customers by ensuring flawless operation across every facet of our application
- Prepare and review test plans for both new and existing features, ensuring all functional and non-functional requirements are met
- Write and execute automated tests based on the test plan, perform manual testing, and document and flag any bugs that emerge
- Think strategically about test automation, and its adequate level, and promote and uphold best practices in your team and the organization
- Contribute to our broader testing strategy and drive initiatives to improve QA processes, metrics, and tooling, focusing on advancing test automation
- Verify the resolution of bugs, retest affected application flows, and ensure comprehensive updates to bug tickets in Jira with all necessary details
- Analyze test results on an ongoing basis and help track key testing metrics
- Participate in development kick-off meetings to understand feature requirements and proactively flag potential obstacles
- Contribute to feature development and maintenance as part of a cross-functional team
- Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing
- Act as an advocate for user experience when communicating with product, design, and engineering teams, ensuring QA initiatives consistently align with delivery goals
- Identify and manage issues, risks, and dependencies, and escalate to product leadership when necessary
- Understand the team's domain and actively contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation
- Support teammates in overcoming challenges, resolving blockers, and efficiently completing tasks
- Mentor teammates by fostering an open, respectful, and empathetic environment, while guiding them in writing high-quality automated tests and adhering to best practices

A headless content management system (CMS) consists of a back-end that stores the content and a decoupled front-end display. This lets the content be streamed to any platform including apps, wearable devices or digital displays via an API. Compared to the other headless CMS solutions, Storyblok’s CMS provides highly customisable content blocks and visual editing tools. This gives developers the flexibility to build fast and reliable digital platforms. It is the first headless CMS to integrate such features into a modern headless architecture.
The company counts Pizza Hut, Adidas, UPC, Greggs and Decathlon amongst clients, alongside many thousands of solo developers that use their CMS. These are powering more than 74,000 projects across 130 countries.
Storyblok intends to use its new funding to expand its presence in the USA after its previous round accelerated expansion in key European markets including Germany and Ireland.
