Who you are
- Take pride in designing, building, and delivering high quality well engineered solutions to complex problems
- Have experience of the full engineering life cycle, from design and implementation through to testing and deployment
- A proven track record of successful development within the broader Python ecosystem
- Take a big picture approach to solving problems, taking care to ensure that the solution works well within the wider system
- Experience working with common Python libraries and toolchains: PySpark, FastAPI, Pandas, NetworkX, Jupyter, and MLFlow
- Experience working with Scala and TypeScript or the willingness to learn
- Passion and drive to grow within one of the UK's fastest growing scale-ups
Desirable
- Experience developing solutions around Generative AI technologies
- Experience working with any of the following technologies or libraries: Hadoop, Docker, Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Gradle
- Experience with Cloud platforms (we use GCP & Azure internally)
- Experience building software which deploys to both on-premise and cloud Environments
- Experience mentoring junior Engineers
What the job involves
- Due to the continuous success and high demand from our customers, we are looking for a Senior Full Stack Python Engineer to join our growing R&D team to build and shape the next generation of products that transform how organizations around the world use data
- You'll be joining Quantexa's dedicated Research and Development team which is at the heart of everything we do here
- The team is continuously working on new and innovative products, helping our Tier 1 clients solve business problems in the area of fraud, compliance and financial crime
- Our products process and query huge volumes of data with the ultimate aim of detecting anomalous and suspicious activity
- The R&D department consists of over 100 people split into agile teams of Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, QA, and others each focusing on specific projects and areas of the Platform
- We pride ourselves on using latest and leading open source Big Data and AI technologies, and are extending our solutions to have enhanced support for Python
- You will be working alongside our Data Scientists and Platform Scala Engineers on existing capabilities and greenfield projects, exploring new opportunities created as a result of technological advancements
- You will work on the Platform APIs and tools which we deliver to our customers allow them to utilise the Quantexa Platform's capabilities to solve their business problems
