Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in corporate law, contract negotiation, or compliance, ideally within a B2B SaaS or technology environment
- Strong knowledge of contract law, data protection (GDPR), and corporate governance
- Ability to work autonomously and provide pragmatic legal solutions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Excellent communication skills to translate complex legal matters into actionable business advice
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
What the job involves
- We are looking for an In-House Lawyer to strengthen our legal function and ensure compliance with contractual, corporate, and regulatory matters
- As our first dedicated legal hire, you will play a critical role in structuring and professionalizing our legal operations, supporting internal teams, and mitigating risks as we scale
- You will be responsible for handling a wide range of legal topics, including contract negotiation, data protection, compliance, and corporate governance, ensuring that Welii operates within a secure and efficient legal framework
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with customers, suppliers, and partners to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
- Provide legal support across departments (Sales, Product, Finance, HR) to facilitate business operations while ensuring regulatory alignment
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and other data protection regulations, working closely with our security and IT teams
- Monitor regulatory changes and proactively implement necessary legal adjustments
- Support corporate governance, including board meeting preparations and company secretarial tasks
- Develop internal legal policies and training programs to enhance legal awareness across the organization
