While digital-first flexible work became notorious with the rise of ride-sharing apps, until Zenjob, automated access to on-demand talent for grocers, events or bars was near-impossible to find.
The company now finds itself among several VC-backed startups such as Tempo and Flexy vying to become the flexible work marketplace for Europe. Zenjob’s carefully built esteemed reputation with companies and employees suggests it may be the last one standing.
The marketplace has invested its funding into expanding both within Europe and internationally to U.K., as well as for tech development, for example using algorithms to further help predict staff demand in future.
The company faces intense competition, however it has managed to hold its own while maintaining investors interests so it can keep pace with the growing market.
