Role

Who you are

  • Expert Java skills - backend systems, 5 years or more of Java experience
  • Good understanding of the challenges faced in distributed computing - REST APIs, fault tolerance, scalability etc
  • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
  • Good knowledge of SQL, and RDBMS
  • Experience with NOSQL distributed databases like Cassandra, Redis or Aerospike
  • Experience with real-time streaming pipeline utilizing technologies like Kafka, Kinesis etc
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with working in a Linux environment
  • Experience within AdTech industry is a plus
  • Familiarity with Python or Scala

What the job involves

  • The Senior Software Engineer will join Nexxen DSP Software Development team and will use industry standards and latest technologies to enhance our programmatic and platform products
  • Nexxen DSP runs mission-critical systems that process billions of real-time transactions a day, so performance and scalability considerations would guide you throughout each project
  • You will experiment with new and innovative technologies designed for Programmatic Ad serving and Ad Tech solutions
  • Be a member of talented team of motivated engineers that develops critical high-performance, large-scale services for Nexxen DSP Programmatic integrations and Platform product
  • Work closely with the Product team to understand product requirements
  • Ownership on end-to-end integrations with the rapidly increasing list of Programmatic Platforms
  • Write solid code with the focus on high performance for services supporting high throughput and low latency (< 70ms response time)
  • Design, develop and test new features and improve existing systems
  • Focus on increasing the test and monitoring coverage and automation
  • Help create large-scale distributed systems which process billions of transactions per day with strict SLAs
  • Follow agile methodologies and work in a fast-paced environment where one can quickly see the results of the work being performed

Video has been an invaluable marketing tool for businesses since the beginning of TV advertisement, but modern technology has dramatically changed how such content is consumed. On-demand omnichannel streaming services and CTV has provided unique opportunities for advertisers to develop their audience engagement strategies, but without the appropriate technology platform, this can be difficult to navigate.

Nexxen provides an end-to-end self-service CTV & video marketing platform, helping to provide businesses with the appropriate engagement tools to future-proof their video marketing. The platform includes AI-driven analytic tools based on audience data, marketplaces for the self-serving of media for campaigns, in addition to analytic tools to assess the success of campaigns in real-time.

Whilst several other start-ups provide either video engagement tools or self-serve video marketing marketplaces, Nexxen has taken the smart angle of combining both into a single platform, whilst specializing in futureproofing companies for the rise in CTV engagement demands. The company aims to save clients money, time, and operational complexity by unifying where they operate their video advertisement campaigns into a single platform.
