Role
Who you are
- Experience: Prior experience in product development, configuring enterprise software (e.g., ERP, CRM, ERP), QA or test automation, low-code platform development (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow), technical support for complex software systems
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex product requirements and translate them into system configurations
- Attention to Detail: Detailed-oriented, having a good understanding of software development and technical details, ensuring accuracy in product setup and data management
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in using Excel (Sheets), Tableau, Looker, etc. for analyzing market data and product performance
- Project management: Ability to manage multiple configuration projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Proficiency in software tools used in product management: Jira, Asana, etc
- Communication Skills: Clear communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Language skills: Fluency in English (German is a plus)
What the job involves
- As a Product Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for the setup, customization, and maintenance of our insurance products in our back-office platform
- You will contribute to the design and implementation of competitive insurance products in collaboration with underwriting, sales, cyber security, and insurance partners
- You’ll oversee the development and continuous improvement of insurance products
- You’ll configure new products in the system, including defining attributes, pricing, and rules
- You’ll use insights from sales, underwriting, and cybersecurity to define product configuration improvement opportunities
- You’ll conduct thorough testing of product configurations to ensure they work as intended and meet quality standards
- You'll work closely with other product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to collect requirements and ensure the configuration aligns with business goals
- You’ll create and maintain all product-related documentation
- You’ll provide support to internal teams and external partners for any issues or queries related to product configurations
- You’ll continuously monitor product performance, make necessary adjustments, and identify opportunities for improvements and growth

Several other cyber security insurance companies seek to protect businesses from cyber threats, but Baobab has taken a unique approach by providing solutions for not just enterprises, but small businesses too. By taking care of this end-to-end process, Baobab is preventing businesses from having to spend time and resources on dealing with cyber security themselves, leaving them with more time to scale.
