Role
Who you are
- Experience processing a variety of data sources: SQL, PubSub, API-based, Event-sourced state into warehoused data sets
- Expertise in translating business use cases into data models to support analysis
- Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure and data services (GCP, AWS, Azure) and data tooling
- The ability to move quickly and pivot as business needs and conditions change

What the job involves
- A successful member of this team would help bridge business and technical uses of data, creating an easy to use platform for Data and Data Tooling for Engineering, Reporting, Analytics, and Data Science use-cases
- This team is responsible for the creation of large scale data system for storing and analyzing traditional financial Data as well as cryptocurrency and market data
- We have created the Factors of Growth & Impact to help Villagers better measure impact and articulate coaching, feedback, and the rich and rewarding learning that happens while exploring, developing, and mastering the capabilities and contributions within and outside of the team:
- Drive data architectural patterns and platform design
- Build and Maintain ELT models for creating warehouses and usable Data sets
- Build and Maintain Data Platform cloud infrastructure
- Lead adoption of Data hygiene and Data best practices
- Manage large scale data sets in both streaming and batch
- Collaborate with stakeholders to create an ecosystem for shared consciousness
- Contribute to analytical design patterns

Anchorage is a crypto-native digital asset platform offering a raft of solutions that help companies leverage blockchain technologies. Its advanced security architecture facilitates streamlined access to the complex and fragmented digital asset space.
Financial backing for Anchorage has come from prestigious investors Visa and Andreessen Horowitz. Anchorage's broad offerings are set to be matched by plans to partner across a wide spread of neobanks, challenger & incumbent banks, and corporate treasurers. This would mean an impressive expansion of their already substantial domain of influence in a rapidly developing sector.
In early 2021, Anchorage secured a national trust charter from the OCC, making it the first-ever federally chartered digital asset bank. This is significant, as it provides a good barrier to entry for other companies looking to compete in this space, and gives legacy institutions the ability to offer digital asset access to their clients. Though it has raised considerable funding in the past, crypto instability and wider macroeconomic challenges forced Anchorage to cut 20% of its staff in March 2023.
Despite 2022 clampdowns on customer due diligence, Anchorage is seeking funding in 2026 to gear up for an IPO in the coming years. It'll be interesting to see how its current resurgence plays out.
