Role
Who you are
- We are seeking candidates with expertise primarily in Python (this will be a backend-leaning role) and also in React
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred
- 3-5 years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer
- Proficiency in Python and React, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work
- Familiarity with Django and React Native
- Experience in developing and deploying web applications
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and TypeScript
- Experience using Storybook for FE component standardization
- Strong SQL database design and management skills
- Experience with AWS services preferred
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience working in a startup environment, and familiarity with DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) business models and e-commerce is a plus
- Ability to find simple solutions to complex problems
- Excellent communication skills

What the job involves
- We are seeking a talented and experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our growing platform team
- As a Full-Stack Software Engineer at Spot & Tango, you will play a pivotal role in building scalable web applications for our customers and for internal company use
- Play a lead role designing and building new features for our core products, primarily using Django, React, and React Native
- Maintain high code quality by writing unit tests and conducting thorough testing prior to merging
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure web applications achieve their business goals
- Optimize applications for maximum performance and responsiveness, especially on mobile devices
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues
- Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of user data
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to enhance our products
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure compliance with coding standards
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team
- Help us scale the company, the culture, and our products
