Role
Who you are
- Education - Bachelor’s in Computer Science or another technical major, or equivalent experience
- Experience - 5+ years experience leading SDETs and 8+ years of experience in software engineering with a significant focus on test automation for both consumer and enterprise applications
- Technical Skills - Expertise in automation methodology and test automation tools. Proficient in Ruby and Javascript, possibly also Python and SQL. Experience in developing automation solutions for mobile, browser, API, and cloud based environments. Knowledge of test automation for data driven applications is preferred
- Collaboration - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage complex stakeholder relationships
- Adaptability - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and remote work environment, handling dynamic challenges with a problem-solving mindset
- Desirable Knowledge - Familiarity with OWASP standards and ISO/SOC2 compliance

- We are seeking an enterprising Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Manager to lead, grow, and standardize test automation across our organization
- We are looking for a cross-functional leader who thrives at the intersection of hands-on coding, team management, and deep strategy work
- The ideal candidate is very well organized, has a passion for delivering quality products, and is an expert in software development, testing, automation frameworks, and release processes
- In our Test Automation team, we are software engineers first and foremost—we love to dig into issues, not just report them

- Functional Responsibility: Actively own test and quality automation architecture and strategy across the organization
- Team Management: Lead a team of SDETs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and career growth while ensuring high performance through regular evaluations and feedback
- Collaboration and Influence: Work closely with both technical and non-technical leaders across the company to advance automation solutions
- Effectively manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external augmentation resources, including potential overseas teams
- Operational Excellence: Spearhead the development and implementation of the automation testing roadmap in collaboration with managers and development teams. Lead scrum sessions to track and celebrate automation sprint achievements
- Hands-On Technical Expertise: Contribute directly to the planning and execution of test automation projects
- Maintain a hands-on role in the coding and troubleshooting of automation scripts and frameworks
Our take
Evidation Health is altering the way that the safety of new drugs and medical devices is tested. Traditionally, the world has depended upon data taken from clinical trials to measure safety, but integrating real-world data gives medical professionals a more comprehensive understanding of how new methods really impact the lives of patients.
Evidation Health has built a research platform that takes in vast amounts of real-world data. Healthcare providers can then use this data to guide medical decisions and assess the impact of diseases. The software can take input from a range of devices such as FitBit, Apple Health, Blue Button, etc., and enables data scientists to get a much better grasp of how diseases and treatments work in the real world, rather than in a lab.
The company has already worked with the Singaporean government to offer a gamification health app, LumiHealth, and has launched an influenza monitoring program "FluSmart" which is accessible through the Evidation app. This sort of constant monitoring and personalization of health data could apply to everyone on the planet, so it is operating in a huge potential market.
