What the job involves
- We’re looking for a sharp, resourceful, and outbound-obsessed Business Development Representative to help fuel Aspire’s growth engine. This role is all about creating pipeline, identifying high-potential accounts, breaking into them with strategic outreach, and generating qualified opportunities for our sales team
- As a BDR, you’ll partner closely with Sales and Revenue leadership to refine outbound strategies, test new messaging, and ensure Aspire is in the room with the right decision-makers. This is a high-impact, foundational role with clear performance metrics and a structured path to grow into an Account Executive position, based on strong performance and business needs
- Outbound Prospecting: Research and identify high-fit DTC and B2C brands and agencies that align with our ICP. Build and maintain a robust top-of-funnel pipeline
- Cold Outreach Execution: Launch and iterate on targeted outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn, and phone, to create conversations and book qualified meetings for AEs
- Discovery and Qualification: Lead initial discovery calls where needed to assess fit, understand brand goals, and set up AEs with context and momentum
- Account Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to prioritize target account lists and refine messaging frameworks that speak to brand pain points and market dynamics
- Continuous Optimization: Work closely with Sales and Marketing to analyze response rates, meeting conversion, and win data to optimize outbound tactics
- Sales Skill Development: Sharpen your sales acumen through regular coaching, shadowing, and structured feedback with a clear roadmap to promotion
- Outbound is the lifeblood of our sales team. As a BDR, your impact is measurable and immediate—you’ll be the one opening the doors that drive revenue, build pipeline, and shape the future of our go-to-market strategy
Our take
Influencer marketing has rapidly gained traction over the last few years, and Aspire exists to help brands make the most of it. It delivers a platform to connect brands with the right influencers to reach their target market, and manage their campaigns from a single place.
With Aspire, marketing teams do not have to spend time researching influencers themselves, with the company claiming to half the time taken to source the right match. The platform also supplies analytics to measure impact and attribute ROI to influencer campaigns, enabling actionable changes to be made to marketing strategies.
Boasting 900 customers including the likes of Care/of and Yankee Candle, it is clear Aspire has already made good progress. In 2023, it acquired SaaS eCommerce company CommerceUp, which will help Aspire to further build and scale influence-driven commerce, with a focus on optimizing marketing spend efficiency for its clients.
