Who you are
- 2–5 years of experience in market analysis, business analytics, commercial strategy, or demand planning within e-commerce, marketplaces, or high-growth digital businesses
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with advanced Excel and BI tool proficiency (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Solid understanding of e-commerce and marketing KPIs, competitor analysis, forecasting, and commercial performance reporting
- Highly organized with strong project management and prioritization skills
- Experience conducting market research, business cases and translating data into actionable insights
- Interest in sustainability and the circular economy
What the job involves
- The Market Analyst plays a key role within the Markets & Demand Planning team, supporting cross-market initiatives, commercial planning, and strategic market expansion efforts across Europe
- This role combines analytical depth with operational execution, helping refurbed assess new market opportunities, improve commercial decision-making, and scale market operations efficiently
- You will work closely with market leads, performance marketing, CRM, Brand, Product, and commercial teams to support market assessments, competitor analysis, forecasting, and strategic growth initiatives
- The role is designed to strengthen analytical capabilities across regions

- Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and commercial performance deep-dives across multiple European markets
- Support new market assessments, market-entry business cases, and cross-functional expansion initiatives
- Assist in developing short and long term forecasts, commercial planning frameworks, and leadership reporting
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, CRM, Brand, Product, Finance, and Supply teams to support strategic commercial initiatives
- Support OKR tracking, growth initiatives, partnership evaluations, and campaign performance analyses
- Contribute to strategic projects and gradually take ownership of regional initiatives and market expertise development
Our take
Buying refurbished electronics can be a fantastic way to give a device a second life whilst saving a bit of cash, but many people are skeptical of doing so. Such items are often sold through illegitimate channels and there is no guarantee that the device will work for long, resulting in people avoiding refurbished goods.
Refurbed provides a refurbished electronics marketplace, which is challenging this. It allows users to browse and purchase refurbished devices that come with a minimum of 12 months' warranty.
The platform operates based on a monthly subscription fee, and whilst this will present a challenge when alternative marketplaces are free to use, the company has recognised that consumers are happy to pay for quality and warranty. Through its marketplace, the company aims to increase the prevalence of refurbished device purchases, helping to reduce waste and carbon footprints and helping consumers save money in the process. $40 million in 2025 funding is being invested into AI-driven efficiency and CX solutions.
