Data Scientist, Descartes & Mauss

• We are seeking a Data Scientist (Junior) with a strong foundation in applied AI and a real curiosity for advanced systems such as Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Foundations in AI / ML
• 1–2 years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied ML
• Good understanding of regression, classification, clustering, and basic NLP
• Proficient in Python (Polars, scikit-learn, NumPy) and familiar with deep-learning frameworks (PyTorch / TensorFlow)
• Data Infrastructure
• Experience writing SQL queries, cleaning datasets, and working with data
• Version control system(Git)
• Knowledge of version control is essential to work on cross functional features
• Mathematics & Modelling
• Solid grasp of statistics and probability
• Ability to interpret model outputs and communicate uncertainty
