Who you are
- 8+ years of experience as a PBP supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced environment; experience with high-growth companies a plus. Experience supporting EPD teams is strongly preferred
- Highly solutions oriented with demonstrated strong judgment. Can proactively guide leaders through difficult decision making and challenges
- Strong expertise in HR practices and best practices, and has knowledge of emerging trends
- Strategic thinker with a strong ability to translate business needs into people initiatives and strategy
- Strong business acumen and insatiable curiosity to learn how the business and your client groups operate
- Excellent influencer, communicator, facilitator, and listener with a balanced and thoughtful approach to building trust across all levels of the organization

What the job involves
- We are looking for an exceptional People Business Partner to support Vanta’s global EPD teams (Engineering, Product & Design)
- You’ll play a critical role in accelerating Vanta’s growth and helping our EPD leaders build, develop and retain world-class teams
- Vanta’s People Business Partner (PBP) team is unique and our PBPs are exceptionally talented - they are “quarterbacks” for all People matters for the leaders and managers they support, and deeply involved in the business, given that our overall touchstone is that all People Team initiatives tie back to clear business outcomes
- Examples of work that our PBP team does include leading change management, partnering on org design and strategy, driving people initiatives to engage and retain talent
- You will be functionally embedded with the teams you support, and work with cross-functional stakeholders on their behalf, in order to help them achieve their business outcomes
- Our PBP team is world class, and has historically delivered outsized service and outcomes. We’re looking for the most thoughtful, practical, and business-minded BPs to join the team and maintain/raise the bar!
- This role reports directly to the Head of People Business Partners
- Serve as a trusted thought partner, consultant and coach to senior leaders across the EPD organization, including our Chief Product Officer and our EPD Leadership Team
- Be the primary point of contact on all people-related matters for global EPD team members at all levels
- Provide support, guidance and thought leadership on areas such as performance management, change management, employee relations, workforce and talent planning, career development, manager development, etc
- Partner with your leaders to foster and drive a high performance culture and environment, driving initiatives that improve employee performance, engagement and retention
- Collect and analyze data to deliver insights and drive recommendations that support the business
- Assess organizational health and effectiveness on a regular basis and identify opportunities to drive improvements and efficiencies
- Drive the project management and execution of critical People programs such as performance reviews, compensation planning, talent reviews, and engagement surveys
- Lead a small but mighty team of People Business Partners to support the EPD organization as they scale
Our take
The security auditing process is usually very time-consuming, taking hours to complete, and it is often difficult for start-ups to invest time into such a process. Yet, the benefits of security accreditation are enormous, mainly as many such businesses are working globally and need ways to demonstrate security compliance to one another. Vanta works specifically with start-ups to help them complete and pass security audits such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
The company is a compliance portal and security monitoring platform that businesses use to assess their risk levels. Vanta carries out a pre-audit of a company's digital security and highlights areas that need to be worked on before a full analysis of all threats is carried out. Other businesses such as Datadog or PagerDuty offer similar security monitoring services, but Vanta monitors its customers throughout the year, allowing any issues to be identified and addressed early on.
Vanta has found a valuable cybersecurity niche within the giant SaaS market. Companies such as Lattice, Clubhouse, and Calm are all customers, demonstrating a growing trend for companies to manage their cybersecurity proactively, which Vanta should be able to take advantage of to further grow and develop into the future.
