Who you are
- Most of our features involve writing significant Ruby on Rails code so you should have experience working in a Rails codebase. We also write a lot of React but we are happy to help you learn that part on the job

- You have strong problem-solving skills and experience working on important functionality for a cloud-based product

- 4+ years of experience working in Ruby on Rails

What the job involves
- The Growth team is focused on increasing the number of users and accounts across the Aha! product suite
- We do this by making our products easier to set up and understand. Our team figures out the intentions of new users who are starting trials of Aha! products — and provides value as quickly as possible during the trial experience
- We test new experiences: We work with the product and marketing teams to develop experiments meant to improve our users' onboarding experience
- We help each other grow: We each bring unique skills to the table and want our teammates to feel valued from the start. Our onboarding program exposes new hires to the codebase and lets them contribute right away
- We move quickly: We ship code multiple times a day. We believe in getting valuable features in front of customers and iteratively improving as we learn what works and what does not
- We value product over process: We want the team to have the time and focus on solving complex challenges. We minimize the overhead by setting clear goals and avoiding heavyweight processes and excessive meetings

- The growth team aims to better understand new users' intentions. We collaborate closely with product and marketing to develop new experiments that improve users' onboarding experience
- We work on a broad range of features across the full stack
- Supporting top-of-funnel A/B test experiments
- Supporting marketing's paid/organic acquisition efforts
- Evolving new user experiences
- Plumbing analytics with Looker
- Enabling new product add-on and trial experiences
- Using various combinations of React, Rails, and Looker for all of the above tasks
- Working proactively with the product and UX teams to refine and iterate on specifications as features take shape
- Interfacing directly with users to quickly squash bugs as part of our regular Customer Support rotation
- Documenting components in our style guide to help drive consistency

Although one of the first movers in the product development software space, Aha! doesn't lack competitors, with larger firms offering powerful but less product-focused solutions.
