We are seeking an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) with a proven track record of generating qualified sales leads via cold outbound prospecting
To excel in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in best practices of outbound prospecting, a deep understanding of the tools needed to execute it at scale, and an unparalleled ability to write strong email copy
The right fit is a motivated hunter that can hit their numbers with minimal support, learn quickly, and ideate creative outbound campaigns that cut through the noise
1+ years of experience as an BDR/SDR or junior seller at a high-growth startup (ideally selling into the finance function) with a proven track record of exceeding your quota. -OR-
A student-athlete background with a proven track record of successfully balancing academics and sports
Proficiency and experience using Hubspot and Apollo for prospecting (ideally)
Work out of our NYC office 4 days/week (Monday through Thursday - commuter benefits available)

What the job involves

This is an exciting opportunity to join Gynger's Go-to-Market team at an early stage. As such, in addition to prospecting and supporting the sales team, you'll be instrumental in shaping our product, processes, and culture by joining us close to the ground floor
In this role you'll be supporting our team of Account Executives by booking them meetings with qualified leads
Given the dramatic increase in cold emails over the past few years, to excel in this role you must leverage your creativity, organization, and attention to detail in order to get your message through to C-level executives and finance leaders
This is a challenging task that only extremely hungry BDRs can accomplish
Reports directly to our VP Revenue
Identify pockets of opportunity within our ICP and find creative ways to connect with them
Craft creative outbound campaigns that are truly unique and stand out from the clutter
Execute outbound prospecting at scale by utilizing the right tools
Book meetings with qualified leads for the Account Executives you support
Attend conferences and events to network and generate leads
Leverage your deep understanding of finance and software sales to help C-level executives understand the value of financing their technology spend
Manage an aggressive quota and help us beat our company-level growth targets
Set the pace as a leader amongst the team and help us scale Gynger

Our take

Businesses today are reliant on software, and without it, they will struggle to launch, build or scale - but the right infrastructure comes at a price. Gynger is a payments platform for the buyers and sellers of technology, looking to revamp how corporations purchase the tech they need.

Alongside Gynger's ‘buy now, pay later’ product for technology purchases, it also offers embedded financing solutions for both sides of a sale. Finance teams' cash burn is reduced through Gynger's flexible payment terms, whilst also reducing friction for sellers. The platform also enables businesses to pay, finance and manage all of their technology expenses from one place.

Gynger has already facilitated thousands of payments across hundreds of vendors such as AWS, Salesforce and HubSpot. Its approach is certainly interesting and has piqued the interest of investors. Its funding will be used to scale its team and operations and accelerate the roadmap to its vision.
