Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 5-10 years experience in technical sales engineering roles, preferably in the satellite imagery domain, spanning both B2B and B2G environments
- Proven expertise in delivering impactful technical presentations and demonstrations
- Strong knowledge of relevant technical solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex customer challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers and colleagues at all levels
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree (or higher level) in Remote Sensing, Geography, Engineering or a related technical field

- The Lead Sales Engineer within ICEYE’s Data line of business will be responsible for enabling technical sales, acting as a key technical advisor for potential customers, and ensuring the successful integration of the ICEYE’s SAR data products
- The role requires a combination of technical expertise, customer relationship management, and sales strategy development to support revenue growth
- Serve as the technical lead in sales engagements, presenting solutions that align with customer requirements
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and tailor technical solutions accordingly
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept exercises for potential customers
- Design solution architectures to meet customer specifications, and support the development of technical proposals
- Act as a liaison between sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure customer requirements are accurately communicated and addressed
- Provide pre-sales support by answering technical inquiries and resolving customer concerns
- Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of ICEYE’s products, services, and industry trends
- Participate in strategic planning for business development and customer retention
- Support and mentor junior staff members and contribute to their professional development

With its origins in Helsinki and now with a U.S subsidiary, ICEYE is a synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging startup. Its in-house built constellation delivers monitoring capabilities for any location on earth, providing customers with reliable and frequent images of any point on the Earth’s surface.
Despite other players in the game, ICEYE’s unique satellite constellation and technology approach means that its offerings are unmatched, whilst purposely being built smaller, more affordable and more flexible than legacy systems. The breadth of use for various customers provides it with mass-market appeal, including shipping, insurance, maritime monitoring, and natural disaster response.
The company is setting its sights high, raising $158M in 2024 alone. With this money, ICEYE is set to develop its SAR satellite constellation and its ISR platform, addressing the growing demand for space-based technology and defense in ISR (intelligence, surveillance & reconnaissance markets). Alongside this, it has made a number of recent partnerships, further bolstering the company as it goes forward.
