Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing several busy calendars and proficiency with Google G Suite (Docs, Drive, Calendar, Mail)
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsExtreme trustworthiness when handling sensitive, confidential information
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks
- Strong stakeholder management—you can effectively manage workload across multiple leaders with ease; you’re not afraid to speak up if something is unclear, unrealistic, or you're experiencing roadblocks; you proactively develop systems for prioritization and communicating status

- We’re looking for a Senior Executive Assistant to join our team at Ro

- The Senior Executive Assistant must be comfortable operating with a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and will be an individual who takes ownership, looks for ways to optimize impact, and genuinely enjoys supporting others in order to make their lives easier, maximize productivity, and enable them to do their best work
- Manage and optimize calendars for one or more busy executives, including scheduling internal and external meetings, clearing conflicts, and preparing for the week ahead
- Be a liaison to internal and external stakeholders and provide timely follow-up on requests
- Understand Ro’s business goals and their implications to our everyday work
- Assist with preparation for meetings (creating presentations, research, compiling information, etc) and coordinate any follow-up (sending documents, swag, scheduling follow-up meetings, etc)
- Manage various paperwork/documents/materials as neededArrange travel, including transportation, lodging, and dining reservations
- Provide personal assistance as needed such as ordering lunch, booking appointments (doctor, dentist, etc), running errands, and placing personal orders (gifts, flowers, etc)
- Collaborate with other EA’s to improve existing business operationsPlan and execute team meetings, activities and events
- Manage special projects
Our take
Ro is a healthcare startup that connects patients directly to physicians, nurses, and pharmacists. The founders of Ro established the company because they felt that health insurance wasn’t working as it should, as the pooled cost of expensive treatments means that the price of individual doctor visits is inflated.
Ro’s primary care platform powers a personalized, end-to-end healthcare experience from diagnosis, to delivery of medication, to ongoing care. Instead of having to travel to a doctor’s office, Ro customers can access a video conference with a physician on-demand, from the comfort of their own home.
In order to tap into the global medical market, which is worth over $4 trillion, Ro raised $150 million at a valuation of $7 billion in 2022. It has expanded to more health areas, such as skincare and mental health, and launched an online pharmacy. Despite this, a substantial number of layoffs in spring 2022 indicated that Ro's accelerated growth had caused problems with its internal organization. Having now narrowed its focus and spending more on less, Ro has streamlined its operations and looks to continue on a steady upward trajectory.
