Role
Who you are
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role such as Solutions Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or Sales Engineer
- Proficient at writing complex and efficient Python scripts and SQL queries
- Experience with modern data lakehouse architectures (Databricks, Snowflake), and an understanding of what drives performance and cost
- Strong customer empathy and a passion for building end-to-end, user-facing data products
- Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
- Proven ability to thrive in a detail-driven, cross-functional environment, working closely with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for continuous learning and skill development, with a genuine passion for data
Desirable
- Experience in machine learning or business intelligence (BI)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience working with Salesforce and other financial data sources
- Prior experience in ICM (incentive compensation management), SPM (sales performance management), or sales roles
What the job involves
- Reporting to the VP of Analytics & Data Science, the Senior Solutions Engineer will lead the design and delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-impact technical implementations
- Working with diverse data from a variety of industries, you’ll build and optimize end-to-end analytics solutions that directly impact how our customers engage with the Forma platform
- You’ll collaborate with various stakeholders within the business to scope out areas where the team can bring additional value, while managing competing priorities
- Lead strategic technical engagements with enterprise clients, guiding them through the solutioning of complex business challenges using the Forma platform
- Build and optimize scalable data architectures, pipelines, and workflows using tools such as PySpark and Databricks
- Support our professional services team with extracting, transforming, and analyzing client data to optimize their incentive compensation and sales performance strategies
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to deliver high-quality, actionable datasets
- Lead technical initiatives to improve data infrastructure, performance, and reliability
- Mentor junior team members to contribute to internal knowledge bases
