Who you are

2-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity/VC, and/or management consulting
Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting with a strong attention to detail

What the job involves

We're looking for a Strategic Finance Analyst to be a foundational member of our new Strategic Finance & Corporate FP&A team. Our team is built with a diverse mix of talent coming from top-tier financial institutions, global technology companies, and some of the fastest-growing startups in AI and software.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to our financial strategy and enhance our financial planning and analysis (FP&A) capabilities. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Strategic Finance and Corporate FP&A, you'll provide critical financial insights that help inform executive decision-making and strategic planning
Financial Modeling: You will contribute to the development and maintenance of our core financial models and cash flow forecasts
Strategic Projects: You will provide valuable analysis and support on high-impact projects, from capital markets initiatives to fundraising strategies, working directly with the CFO and other leaders
Reporting: You will assist in the creation of comprehensive reports and narratives for our executives and Board of Directors, including monthly, quarterly, and annual planning documents
Collaboration: You will work closely with teams across the company, including FP&A and Accounting, to ensure seamless reporting and analysis
KPIs: You will help track and refine our key performance indicators, reporting on our progress toward strategic goals

Our take

Many cloud service providers can suffer from slow prediction speeds when they are used for data modeling. CoreWeave solves this problem with its specialized cloud service provider.

CoreWeave reduces prediction times and makes service requests faster and more efficient. This, in turn, cuts cloud costs considerably. This has proven to be a strong draw for many companies, with CoreWeave signing a lucrative partnership with GPU heavyweight NVIDIA as well as partnering with BitOoda, which has allowed it to expand its operations to the financial market.

However, in 2023 it closed three very significant rounds of funding (Series B and debt and secondary extensions), which is being invested into expanding its US-based data centers, opening two new ones in the coming year. The question remains whether, despite 2023's big investments in the sector, CoreWeave can maintain this momentum and whether generative AI's stock will continue to rise.
