Role
Who you are
- At least 6+ years of experience in working with platforms in a direct capacity as a growth product manager or a B2B(2C) product manager
- Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of KPIs, OKRs, and other key metrics
- Experience using data to drive decision-making and prioritize features based on impact to the company
- Ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources and create clear and comprehensive product specs (PRDs) that minimize the need for additional research by engineers
- Experience defining B2B product requirements for complicated and complex verticals and product areas
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders, to gather requirements and ensure successful launches of new B2B platform capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality platform capabilities for multiple customers on time and within budget
- Familiarity with the latest technologies and trends in the industry and the ability to work closely with engineers to ensure the feasibility and technical soundness of platform capability ideas
- Experience working at both early stage startups as well as larger companies, to demonstrate adaptability to different environments and the ability to thrive in both
- Ability to work from the company's San Francisco office
What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Manager, Provider Growth at PayZen, you will help drive the product strategy and roadmap for our Provider Platform. You will help define and drive the vision and strategy for provider solutions, partner integrations, and new product ideas
- This is a highly impactful role that requires working with cross-functional stakeholders and the leadership team. We’re looking for team members eager to contribute to the growth of a product that’s helping every American by increasing the affordability of healthcare
- Own products and features that help increase the affordability and access of healthcare for millions of Americans by expanding and scaling robust and resilient data platforms
- Guide the technical vision and strategy for an accurate, scalable, usable, and reliable provider platform and infrastructure
- Build a strategic roadmap for our provider platform and take the concepts from idea through validation, shipping, measurement, and iteration
- Understand the needs of our customers and define clear requirements by conducting user research and incorporating the best ideas as required from the industry trends
- Collaborate and execute initiatives across a team of global colleagues in engineering and analytics to deliver an outstanding data platform to our internal and external customers
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success and ongoing health of the data platforms
- Represent the team's work effectively in writing and presentations to the executive leadership
- Maximize efficiency in a fast-moving environment
Our take
More than half of Americans cannot cover an unexpected medical expense of $1,000. To help solve this healthcare affordability crisis, PayZen offers personalized payment options. Using AI and machine learning, patient’s data is analysed to evaluate their ability to pay, making it possible to pre-emptively support those in financial difficulty.
PayZen works for patients and medical providers. Providers can expect to get a much higher collection rate with accelerated cash flow, without having to pay software costs or program fees, whist patients receive affordable and flexible access to care without interest or fees. A patient’s debt doesn’t increase, as they never have to pay more than the cost of the service.
While the Buy-Now-Pay-Later space in healthcare is becoming increasingly overcrowded - Afterpay and Sezzle, for example, allow customers to pay their medical bills in interest-free instalments - PayZen's strong funding history puts it in a good position from which to grow. It has used funds to accelerate its mission and launch new ventures such as the "Care Card", that offers the benefits of its payment plans in the form of a physical and virtual debit card.
