Who you are

Available full-time for 10-12 weeks in our office in New York City between May and August
Experience in at least one object-oriented programming language. We use Ruby for our backend, and are happy to teach it
A product-oriented mindset with a passion for listening to and delighting customers
A kind person

Desirable

Experience with a web framework, such as Ruby on Rails, Django or Express.js
Experience with a front-end framework such as Vue, React or Angular
Previous experience working within a startup environment

What the job involves

You will work with a team of software engineers who are responsible for shipping features across the Vantage product. The team is fast-paced and is constantly shipping to production
Work directly with our engineering team and a mentor to build and ship new features
Write clean, testable, peer-reviewed code
Own end-to-end feature development - including measuring and reporting on customer impact

As the price of cloud computing continues to rise, many businesses are paring back on their budget towards cloud infrastructures which in turn has slowed the growth of many cloud-computing companies. However, we are now in the cloud era, and demand for its services is higher than ever which has created an opening for startups to create their own innovative solutions to meet the ever-evolving needs of organizations.

Leveraging this opportunity in the market is Vantage, a New York City startup that is helping businesses better understand their cloud infrastructure spending. Born out of the idea to build a better AWS dashboard, Vantage now supports users on a number of service providers, allowing them to track and save their cloud costs all in one place.

Vantage has seen a recent influx of large enterprise users, along with the success of a recent funding round, laying the foundations for a better service for its growing customer base. Viewing the growth of its customer base as a challenge, Vantage is looking to step things up and plans to capitalize on this opportunity to grow its name even further with a series of product launches in 2023.
