Who you are

2+ years of experience as a UI Artist or UI Designer for console or PC games
Excellent graphic design skills including typography, layout, composition, iconography and color
High level of competence in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects
Experience developing and applying style-guides/design systems
Proficient in creating animations/motion graphics using After Effects or similar software packages
Good technical understanding and appreciation for smart ways to create flexible, efficient and scalable UI
Passion for UX, information design, and creating pixel-perfect solutions
Experience working within a game engine to create and implement UI features
Experience working with Figma would be a bonus

What the job involves

We are looking for a creative and passionate individual to craft the best possible experience for our players through the game's user interface
You will work collaboratively with our experienced team to develop visual designs for in-game UI features such as HUD, map screen, deployment screen, vehicle and weapon UI
You will report to our Art Line Director, based in our studio in Vancouver
Create inspiring and functional high-fidelity visual designs for in-game UI
Work with the team to understand the player needs, motivations, behaviors in order to improve the user experience
Craft UI solutions to balance the interplay between player/user goals, our goals, and technical feasibility using a user-centered approach
Work with UX designers, UI scripters and UI engineers to deliver UI features
Create animations/motion designs for transitions and feedback to support the player experience
