Who you are

5+ years of professional motion design experience
Exceptional 2D animation skills with a portfolio that demonstrates strong taste and timing
Experience across the full production cycle - storyboarding, animation, editing, sound
Comfort working fast and managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
Familiarity with AI image/video generation tools (Runway especially) and eagerness to learn more
Self-direction: you take a brief and run with it without heavy oversight

What the job involves

We're looking for an ambitious, well-rounded Motion Designer to join our Brand team
This person understands that motion design is storytelling - you're not just animating, you're communicating ideas and driving action
You have a point of view on what makes advertising work and how motion can elevate a brand
The right person has great taste, strong 2D animation fundamentals, and can work across the full production process: from storyboarding through editing and sound
You're comfortable working fast and producing at volume
And you're curious about AI content generation tools - not necessarily an expert, but eager to experiment and learn
We're building a campaign right now that's produced entirely with AI, and we need someone who wants to be part of that
Create motion content for product launches, brand campaigns, social, and events like Canvas
Own projects end-to-end: concept, storyboard, animation, editing, and sound design
Translate complex product features into clear, engaging visual stories
Collaborate with product marketing, corporate marketing, and events teams
Experiment with AI image and video tools to create content at scale
Help evolve Miro's motion design language and maintain consistency across touchpoints

Our take

Millions of employees worldwide have moved to remote working, but existing tools are holding back the potential for collaboration. Tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams already provide remote communication platforms to millions of users, but they generally compromise on features required to emulate the team collaboration experience.

Miro has created a platform that provides enterprise tools such as collaborative whiteboards and mind-map software into an accessible and integrated service. As opposed to providing an 'all-in-one' add on, Miro allows businesses to customize and integrate the tools and resources within their individual platform to cater to the team's specific requirements.

Miro’s initial strategy of offering free and discounted subscriptions and then moving to paid models has paid off. The platform currently has over 100M users and is trusted by enterprises such as VMware, Zendesk and Frog. And as part of its ongoing battle with Zoom, Miro acquired video-chat startup Around in 2022, to remain competitive in the market.
