Who you are

- High competence in the use of analytical tools and industry practices is also preferred

- The desire to learn, continuously improve, and deliver consistent results and scalable solutions is paramount
- College degree in business, finance, economics, or related field
- 1 – 4 years of progressive global compensation or finance experiences with increasing levels of responsibility in identifying, recommending, and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' challenges. Experience with Workday or other HRIS business processes, reporting, and compensation increase cycles preferred
- Outstanding analytical capabilities, experience with big data and interfacing between HRIS applications, reliable financial and compensation analysis skills, and ability to communicate persuasively with business partners to drive decision-making
- Ability to work independently to identify and drive process and system enhancements to ensure efficient function for the team and client support groups
- Excellent business acumen: strong team orientation with a collaborative style, which engages stakeholders and leads to good business decisions
- Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, accuracy, time management, interpersonal, communication, presentation, organization, decision-making, and planning skills
- Advanced Excel skills are a must
What the job involves
- The Roku Compensation and Benefits team is comprised of trusted consultants to our People Business Partners and the business leaders
- We are responsible for the implementation, administration, and evolution of compensation programs across Roku globally
- As a member of the team, the Compensation Analyst will be located at our headquarters in San Jose, CA
- Work closely with People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Business Leaders to communicate Roku’s compensation philosophy
- Remain current on market competitive practices; introduce innovative solutions to enhance internal programs and processes
- Effectively partner with People teams and the Business Leaders to manage, consult, and resolve compensation issues, particularly for offers, new positions, transfers, and promotions
- Collect and analyze market data and maintain salary survey data; manage all benchmarking activity
- Manage monthly equity grant process, data audits, and inquiries directed to the team inbox
- Ability to develop compensation and financial models using data to advise on trends and findings to stakeholders and partner teams
- Be an expert of major external survey methodologies and have deep insights in market data utilization globally

According to Nielsen data, the average streamer spends over seven minutes searching for something to watch. Streaming services use customers' viewing history to make suggestions, but these are limited to programs licensed for that particular service.
Roku provides an integrated streaming service that offers TV channels, movies and third-party streaming services, resulting in an all-in-one streaming platform. The service can be accessed through a variety of customized subscription packages and fees.
Roku stands out in the streaming industry by bringing many competitors together in one package. The startup provides further innovative services such as a weekly TV series named 'Roku Recommends' which uses first-party data to recommend essential viewing to users.
Alongside funding filmmakers through its "Change Makers Program", Roku also acquired its own original library of shows through its acquisition of now-defunct Quibi's library. Then, after successful collaborations with TCL and Hisense, the first in-house "Roku Television" was released. In 2026, it was announced that media giant FOX would acquire Roku, which the companies say will create the third largest player in US TV by share of viewing.
