Role
Who you are
- Experience: 5-7 years in AML/KYC, specifically within Fintech or Payments
- Regional Knowledge: Expertise in US, European (6AMLD), and LatAm (CNBV/BACEN-style) compliance requirements
- Tech Stack: Hands-on experience with Persona, Sardine, and TRM Labs (or similar on-chain tools like Chainalysis/Elliptic)
- Crypto-Comfort: A baseline understanding of stablecoins and liquidity transfers
- The "Builder" Mindset: Demonstrated ability to create processes from scratch, not just follow existing ones
- A proactive work attitude and willingness to dive into details
- Relevant industry certifications such as CAMS, CFCS, CFE, CCI, or CRCM preferred
What the job involves
- As a senior KYC/AML Analyst, you will be a member of our core compliance operations team. This role is designed for a high-performing individual contributor who wants to grow into a leadership position as our headcount expands
- You will manage the "high-complexity" end of our onboarding funnel, focusing on domestic and international entities (LatAm & Europe). You will balance manual, deep-dive investigations with the strategic task of building our EDD and QA/Testing frameworks
- Cross-Border KYB: Lead the onboarding for a diverse range of domestic and international clients (Marketplaces, SMBs, Institutions)
- Stablecoin Compliance: Support the rollout of our stablecoin transfer products by conducting blockchain-native due diligence
- Alert Triage: Manage transaction monitoring alerts within Sardine, identifying suspicious patterns in cross-border payment flows and fiat-to-crypto on/off-ramps
- On-Chain Analytics: Utilize TRM Labs to screen wallets, trace funds, and mitigate exposure to high-risk or sanctioned virtual asset service providers (VASPs)
- KYC Reliance: Design the workflow to allow for "Reliance" on third-party KYC, significantly reducing friction for our users
- QA/Testing: Develop and own the "four-eyes" review process to ensure high standards of accuracy across all KYC files
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the BSA/AML Officer to transition manual workflows into the automated Persona orchestration layer and add on AI bots to the flow
- Program Maturity: Contribute to the development of Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and formal Issue Management protocols
