Role
Who you are
- 3–5 years of experience in IT, Business Systems, or Automation Engineering roles — ideally in a high-compliance environment
- Strong experience with low-code automation platforms (e.g., Okta Workflows, Retool, Budibase, Appsmith) and a practical understanding of system design
- Familiarity with scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or Bash to support automation and integration tasks
- Experience with SaaS administration and working within structured operational frameworks (e.g., ITIL, NIST, SOC2, HITRUST)
- A thoughtful, systems-level approach to designing, scaling, and improving internal workflows (experience with BPMN or process mapping tools is a plus)
- A mission-first mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves and take on work outside your formal scope when the business needs it — no task is too small
- Strong troubleshooting instincts, a bias toward action, and a collaborative, low-ego working style

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior IT Integration Engineer to enhance critical cross-department workflows and software integrations across multiple tools in a high-compliance setting
- This role will report to the Director of IT & Business Technology and work closely with IT Admins and other teams to identify opportunities for improved process and automation, ensuring operational maturity and improving service delivery
- Embedded stints with teams like our Concierge (customer service) team may occur to experience challenges firsthand and design effective solutions
- Automate and orchestrate interdepartmental workflows across tools and teams (Operations, Finance, People, etc.), with a focus on onboarding/offboarding, RBAC, and cross-functional process improvement
- Design, build, and maintain internal integrations that reduce manual effort, improve auditability, and support a HITRUST- and SOC-aligned environment
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to identify friction points and deliver solutions using low-code platforms like Okta Workflows, Retool, and Airtable
- Enhance and maintain internal customer service tooling and workflows, supporting employee experience across the organization (experience with Zendesk at scale is a big plus, but not required)
- Serve as an escalation point for complex IT issues, especially those involving identity, automation, or system access
- Support administration and security of core SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, Okta, Jamf Pro, and Zoom
- Continuously refine and document business processes to reduce friction, support scale, and improve operational reliability

Garner Health creates digital services that allow patients to find a medical expert that fits their specific needs, whatever their insurance circumstances are.
The startup provides an app that analyses local health-insurance claims history through AI. This data is used to recommend local medical professionals that will work with a patient's circumstances whilst providing direct communication channels for liaising. This helps patients to identify the highest-quality doctors and helps doctors improve how they practice medicine.
Despite other companies providing similar bespoke healthcare services, Garner Health shows a cutting edge by partnering with patient employers. This provides the financial incentive that employers must cover all or a portion of medical expenses, making healthcare financially accessible for all involved. The company has good funding at its back, and in 2022 partnered with Marathon Health towards reducing the inefficiencies of specialty referrals.
