Who you are

- You could be coming from a consultancy background and are ready to transition into the startup ecosystem, having 3-6 years of professional experience
- You have strong operational experience with financial analysis and excel at diving deep into data and spreadsheets to drive decisions
- You have a proven track record as an executor - someone who gets things done efficiently and consistently delivers results
- You have experience in Finance (including FP&A processes like budgeting and forecasting), People & Culture, or Operations, ideally in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment
- You are adaptable and pragmatic - you can work with ambiguity, recognize where processes are needed, and build them without over-engineering
- You have excellent communication skills (German + English) and can collaborate effectively across teams and with external stakeholders (investors, advisors, etc.)
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Head of Business Operations to join koppla as a key member of our leadership team
- In this role you will directly report to and act as a right hand to the CEO, driving operational excellence across the organization
- You will take over the ownership for Finance, People, and Operations, be deeply involved in investor relations and oversee & work across multiple departments to streamline activities
- You’ll directly lead a team of 2 people
- Own strategic finance operations and build scalable frameworks to allow koppla to do further fundraises
- Focus on high-level financial planning and analysis while day-to-day AP/AR is handled by existing team
- Partner with our People & Culture manager to drive hiring strategy and attract top talent as we scale from 20 to 40+ employees
- Shape company culture by implementing structured processes: leveling systems, development plans, and growth frameworks
- Lead fundraising efforts and manage relationships with institutional investors and VCs
- Organize advisory board meetings and build strong stakeholder relationships to support company growth
- Drive operational excellence through strategic planning cycles, cross-team alignment, and key initiatives (internationalization, process optimization)
- Oversee legal operations and compliance

Rarely does a construction site run smoothly, with countless obstacles appearing unexpectedly. koppla prepares workers for these surprises. A large construction site sees many different companies operating, which can become difficult for construction management and lead to higher costs due to longer construction times. By offering a digital and automate solution, koppla’s software helps management create faster, cheaper and more sustainable construction sites.
There are certainly other players in the construction site optimisation field, such as Munich’s Capmo and Berlin’s Cosuno. Though koppla is unique in its application of the lean methodology in the construction industry. Lean construction management has a reliable history, known for enabling more efficient planning and organisation and better on-site communication.
With funding under its belt, koppla is expanding the technical aspects of its model, as well as making new hires in the tech and sales department as it continues to ambitiously target the top 1,000 construction companies and real estate developers in DACH countries.
