Assistant Controller, Epirus

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant discipline
• U.S. Government contract experience (FAR/DFARS)
• 10+ years of accounting experience with financial close activities, generating financial statements, and experience with GAAP financial statement audits
• Prior accounting supervisory experience
• Strong oral and written communication and organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Eprius is hiring an Assistant Controller to supervise the day-to-day activities of the Accounting and Accounts Payable team, assume responsibility for a smooth monthly financial close, and work with the Controller and CFO in further designing and building our accounting and finance organization as the company continues to scale
• The Assistant Controller will work closely with, and report to, the Controller while also interacting regularly with other members of company leadership

• Provide leadership and management support to the accounting and A/P team
• Manage a timely monthly close process, including reviewing/posting timesheets/payroll, A/R, journal entries, bank reconciliations, cost reports, invoicing and revenue recognition, and preparation of financial reports consistent with GAAP accounting standards
• In coordination with the Controller, administer and/or oversee payroll, A/R, tax reporting, and employee option exercise administration
• Further develop processes and frameworks to improve financial and regulatory risk management and compliance across the enterprise
• Work closely with the FP&A team in developing scalable solutions for accounting data generation and analysis
• Deliver financial diligence and analysis in support of Company financing transactions, including maintaining strong, positive relationships with the Company’s financing partners
• Advise the CFO, Controller, and FP&A team on business and financial planning
• Provide strategic recommendations to the Controller and executive team
• Support external financial and government audits
