Who you are
- 6+ years of experience in the industry
- 2+ years of software development experience
- 2+ years of pre-sales experience with enterprise software
- 1+ years of experience working with Cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft or Google)
- Thorough understanding of AI/ML in terms of model life cycle, machine learning frameworks, LLMs and RAG architectures
- Working knowledge and ability to code with two or more modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or popular programming languages (e.g. C/C++, Java, C#)
- Acute understanding of integration, scalability concepts for highly available distributed systems
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- The ability to travel up to 30%
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Cloud provider certification (Associate or Professional preferred)
- A MongoDB Certification (optional)
What the job involves
- You design systems, applications, and infrastructure to help drive some of the world's largest software development projects leveraging MongoDB
- You advise engineering teams for our Ecosystem partners on design best practices and strategies for making the best use of MongoDB
- You confidently articulate the business value of MongoDB solutions
- You translate technical concepts and patterns into business benefits for management and executives
- You act as a liaison, gathering feedback from the field to relay back to the Product Management team
- You will have the opportunity to help drive demand through participation in both industry-known trade-shows as well account-based marketing events
- You demonstrate resilience and sound judgment in dealing with business challenges
- You have an ability to drive customer and partner demand within a sales territory, by being self-motivated, proactive and understanding the importance of a strong sense of urgency
- You proactively seek opportunities to support and mentor other pre-sales team members and share best practices
- You have situational awareness and react appropriately in group settings
- Particularly with Ecosystem Partners:
- You partner with our AI/ISV account teams to help ensure success in closing new strategic partners and growing existing ones
- You align with MongoDB field teams in conjunction with partner sales teams to help end customers realize the combined value of MongoDB and our partners to solve their business problems
- You work with partner onboarding teams to qualify new partners in terms of integration and offering
- You work on defining joint value propositions with our partners and work with them to demonstrate it via technical blogs, webinars and live events
- You work with product teams with specific feedback from partners that use MongoDB to help move the innovation forward
- You understand the importance of a strong sense of urgency reflected through ability to drive partner demand within the sales territory
- You align with strategic partners on a continuous basis to advise on best practices and feedback
- You have a strong understanding of partner business model, value, and needs
- You successfully build and maintain effective relationships within partner technical teams, gaining their trust and influencing their decisions
- You demonstrate the ability to anticipate and respond appropriately to partner objections
- You are seen as a “Trusted Advisor” with technical partner stakeholders
- You participates in C-level partner conversations
- You align to provide proactive responses to help partners understand the solution and identify positive business outcomes

Essentially, the company develops tools and blueprints to help businesses and organisations modernise their legacy applications, migrating them to the MongoDB database and the MongoDB Atlas cloud database. With this initiative, MongoDB is particularly taking aim at Oracle customers with ageing applications running on the Oracle relational database system.
