- 5+ years of product design experience
- Strong visual and interaction design skills along with systems thinking capability
- Experience mentoring other designers
- Track record of leading feature-level projects independently
- Ability to run user research and translate findings into impactful designs
- Emerging leadership skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration and alignment across teams
- Experience with design systems and scalable UI solutions
- Background in growth-focused features that drive user retention and engagement
- Experience creating modern enterprise SaaS platforms (applying Lean UX, JTBD, hypothesis-driven design and Product-led Growth)
- Expertise in creating engaging user experiences for learning (learning science or curriculum development), educational technology or media platforms
- Methods for assuring design quality
- Work is performed in an office (or home office) environment and requires the ability to operate office equipment and keyboards. Sedentary work. Repetitive work
- Ability to perform tasks related to documentation, data analysis, transcription and extensive content analysis. Learn new tasks, remember processes, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow
What the job involves
- We're looking for a Product Designer ready to tackle complex design challenges and mentor others. You'll navigate ambiguous problem spaces while helping shape our design practices and system-level thinking
- In the Growth area, you will focus on onboarding, notifications, and recommendations—features critical to driving user activation, retention, and engagement. Your work will play a key role in aligning user needs with Pluralsight’s strategic goals, ensuring learners experience a personalized and seamless journey
- You'll balance hands- on design work with cross-team collaboration, while helping to grow less experienced designers
- Lead design initiatives (35%): Own end-to-end design for major features
- Drive research strategy (25%): Plan and execute research to inform decisions
- Foster collaboration (25%): Guide cross-functional partnerships
- Mentor others (15%): Support growth of junior designers
