Who you are
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantitative field (i.e. Business, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics etc)

What the job involves
- You will be working within the Commercial team in charge of demand generation strategy and execution and consisting of 3 pillars:
- Fleet Planning: definition of fleet levels and allocation, model mix, fleet movements, positioning and availability strategy
- Pricing & proposition: offer definition (PAYG, passes), improve unit economics performance (Net Booking / ride, Contribution Margin, etc.), implementation of pricing changes, commercial product roadmap and analytics
- Marketing: Improve efficiency of marketing campaigns, definition of marketing calendar (budget, timing, etc.), definition of marketing processes and tools, competitive intelligence, customer segmentation and analytics
- You will be working closely across the organisation with the Central and Local Operations teams and Data Science with a global scope (all our cities)
- Regularly analyse the performance of the fleet across all our cities
- Guide and help city managers in defining their local fleet strategy, identifying the levers of improvement
- Support fleet and batteries reallocation across the markets
- Improve existing dashboards/tools and create new ones to deepen our understanding of fleet performance across all our cities
- Build and run dedicated analysis to improve the value generated by our assets, taking into account specific local challenges and constraints
- Evaluate product opportunities to improve our fleet performance, including building business cases and monitoring impact
Our take
Dott is a European micro-mobility startup known for its scooter-sharing service. More recently, the company added an electric bike-sharing service in some cities. It is targeting a 100% electric logistics fleet and renewable energy in all its cities. The service is designed to be as accessible as possible, and Dott works closely with local communities, aiming for equal coverage across the areas it serves and partnering with local organisations to help improve the cities in which it operates.
The company covers 36 cities across nine European countries and since 2021, it's fleet has doubled in the number of rides per year. Dott competes with several micromobility startups in Europe, such as Tier, Lime and Voi. They are quite similar; most of them work with Okai to design their scooters, but they don’t necessarily operate in the same markets. One interesting USP is Dott's partnership with startup Omni, which saw a fleet of wheelchair-adaptive scooters being released to the public.
Dott has diversified its product offering with electric bikes, which may be a smart move to continue its growth, as the regulatory landscape is still evolving. That being said, they have benefitted from major investment over 2022 to the sum of $70 million dollars.
