Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of related experience
- Technically inclined and enjoy wearing a lot of hats
- A capable quantitative thinker who learns quickly
- Strongly proficient in at least one programming language (C++,C#, Delphi, Java or similar)
- Experience with database technologies (SQL)
- Experience with standard API’s such as REST, SOAP and JSON, XML
- Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
- A second language is a plus
- General understanding or hands on knowledge of Delphi
What the job involves
- In this critical role, you will play a key role in design, development and implementation of software solutions
- You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets the strategic goals of the company
- Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain software applications for use within Logistics. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
- Code Quality: Maintain high standards of code quality and integrity. Participate in code reviews and follow best practices in software development
- Problem Solving: Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs. Work on complex problems, analyze situations, and apply problem-solving skills
- Collaboration: Collaborate with a team of developers, designers, and product managers. Contribute to team meetings and offer innovative ideas and solutions
- Project Management: Assist in project planning and adhere to timelines. Report progress and challenges to the management team
- Provide second-level contact to customer inquiries, requests, and technical issues via various communication channels to convey resolutions to customer issues
- Where required, demonstrate the software to stakeholders and customers
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to products, software, or services
- Utilize problem-solving skills to analyze and identify root causes of problems and provide solutions or workarounds
- Collaborate with other technical teams and engineers to escalate and resolve complex issues and deliver effective solutions
- Handle escalations from Tier 2 Support Team
- Be a strong collaborator, a part of a small team, that touches every part of the company

EasyPost's multi-carrier shipping API provides eCommerce businesses with seamless solutions to manage logistics. The platform allows companies to easily switch between shipping providers, track packages, and verify addresses. Saving businesses time and money and in turn, simplifying what would otherwise be a complex process.
When EasyPost emerged from stealth in 2013, it was widely recognised as the "Stripe for shipping". A comparison stemming from the company's ability to enable developers to integrate postage and shipping features into web applications. Which, at the time, was something legacy carriers like FedEx and UPS weren't taking advantage of.
As e-commerce has grown, EasyPost has expanded its reach and is now available in over 200 countries. It now offers Amazon Shipping, cementing its position as a market leader.
