Who you are
- At least 1 year debt recovery or legal support experience in the commercial / business sector
- Proven experience of raising and managing money claims
- Experience in business and personal insolvency issues would be hugely beneficial

What the job involves
- We're looking for a Paralegal with experience in debt recovery to join our in-house Litigation team
- This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with our team of experienced team of Paralegals and Litigation Team Lead where you'll have a direct hand in shaping case strategies and driving successful outcomes
- Independently manage and monitor the active litigation and enforcement action taken against a portfolio of users, which may include cases handled by third party debt collectors and solicitors
- Investigate cases and help decide case recovery strategies to maximise repayment
- Cooperate with wider Litigation and Collections team to investigate more complex cases and occasionally advise on the appropriate escalation
- Raise and manage in-house money claims using MCOL or through the CNBC
- Complete Court applications to enforce County Court Judgments including charging orders, oral examinations and High Court Enforcement
- Prepare winding up petitions and statutory demands
- Manage defended cases and prepare directions questionnaires, witness statements and other evidence required for hearings and trials
- Occasionally attend court to swear affidavits
