Who you are
- Ideal candidates have a deep knowledge of consumer and media trends, an ability to motivate, inspire, and align cross-functional partners, and a track record for culturally relevant campaigns that gain media attention and drive consumer engagement
- The right individual will bring a balanced combination of vision, ambition, judgment, creativity, flexibility, and critical thinking - all with the passion and enthusiasm for building the Coinbase brand and advancing crypto’s goal of updating the financial system
- A strong interest in sports, gaming, culture, and entertainment will help with success in this position
- 10+ years of experience in roles of increasing responsibility at a global consumer brand - either at an agency or internally
- Demonstrated track record of successful brand partnership activations and an aptitude for bringing fresh, creative ideas to the table
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for seamless connections with team members and partners at all levels of an organization
- Comfort working in a high-growth, continuously evolving environment
- A strong interest in sports, gaming, culture, and entertainment
- Willingness to travel, and ability to work independently and autonomously
- Proven track record in managing complex, high-scale projects, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and stakeholders
What the job involves
- The Integrated Marketing team is looking for a seasoned Marketing Manager to drive brand partnerships in a fast-moving, category-defining global company
- This person will drive planning, strategy, and creative executions for Coinbase’s most strategic global partnerships
- This person should have a strong understanding of the value of partnerships in driving top-of-funnel brand awareness and engagement
- This role will offer a unique opportunity to build new partnership models from the ground up and create breakthrough executions that make Coinbase an integral part of daily life and culture
- Drive end-to-end brand partnership marketing campaigns and breakthrough consumer experiences across paid, owned, and earned channels
- Develop and drive the brand partnership strategy, execution, and management; including creative briefs, creative process with our internal creative studio, GTM planning and execution, reporting & optimizations
- Drive integrated XFN process and stakeholder alignment for successful execution and optimization of campaigns; including Product, Growth, Creative Studio, Media Agencies, etc
- Seek out new ways to drive our brand strategy throughout our strategic partnership and make an outsized impact in culture
- Partner closely with the Partnerships team to get the most out of existing and new deals for the brand

Coinbase has built a reputation as one of the most accessible entry points into the world of cryptocurrency. With features like crypto wallets, direct bank account linking, and merchant payment tools, it's helping bring crypto into the mainstream. But the company isn't just relying on its early success, it's evolving fast to stay relevant in a rapidly changing market.
Lately, its doubled down on its focus on institutional clients, now serving as the custodian for the majority of approved Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, and its Prime platform offers a full suite of services for hedge funds, asset managers, and financial institutions. As demand for regulated crypto products rise globally (particularly in Asia), Coinbase is ready to expand.
And it's even making moves to engage with younger audiences, having recently partnered with Riot Games to sponsor global eSports events for League of Legends and Valorant. This partnership highlights Coinbase's strategy to integrate Web3 technologies into mainstream entertainment, aiming to bridge the gap between gaming and cryptocurrency for a new generation of users.
