Who you are
- This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and capable of anticipating needs to help the COO operate at maximum effectiveness
- 5+ years of experience supporting a C-level executive, ideally in a startup, operations, or high-growth environment
- Proven ability to manage complex schedules, competing priorities, and highly confidential information with discretion
- Strong organizational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally across all levels of the organization
- Highly resourceful and proactive, with the ability to anticipate needs and stay several steps ahead
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using tools such as G Suite, Slack, Notion, project management platforms, and expense systems
- Calm under pressure, adaptable to shifting priorities, and solutions-oriented
- Based in New York City, with flexibility for occasional travel to company offsites, meetings, or events

What the job involves
- Distyl is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to the Co-Founder, COO to provide critical operational and administrative support
- This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, operates with precision, and demonstrates exceptional judgment and discretion
- You will be instrumental in optimizing the COO’s time, managing communications and priorities, and ensuring seamless execution across operational, strategic, and administrative initiatives
- Manage the COO’s complex and dynamic calendar, ensuring alignment with business priorities and operational timelines
- Coordinate meetings, briefings, and cross-functional sessions, including preparing materials, agendas, and follow-up actions
- Arrange domestic and international travel, including flights, accommodations, itineraries, and expense reporting
- Serve as a primary liaison for internal and external communications, maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and strong relationship management
- Act as a strategic partner to the COO by driving prioritization, focus, and alignment across key initiatives
- Build and optimize systems that improve operational excellence, communication, and execution
- Track strategic priorities, surface blockers, and ensure follow-through across teams
- Anticipate needs and provide leverage through effective time management and preparation
- Synthesize insights from multiple workstreams to continuously help the COO focus on the highest-impact areas
