- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript for server-side development and a proven track record and experience in designing and implementing scalable software architectures
- Familiarity with service-oriented, event-driven architectures
- Experience with designing and building microservices or serverless architectures
- Proficiency in using design patterns and best practices for clean, maintainable code
- Understanding of event-driven and asynchronous programming
- Knowledge of API security practices and standards (e.g., OAuth, JWT)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker
- Implementing security best practices in code and infrastructure
- Extensive knowledge in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Hands-on experience with AWS services like EventBridge, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, and more
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like AWS CloudFormation or CDK
- Managing and optimizing cloud resources for cost-efficiency and scalability
- Expertise in working with messaging and event-driven systems like Amazon SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ, or Apache Kafka
- Implementing message queues for decoupling services and handling asynchronous communication

Our take
In recent years, shopping has largely moved off the high street and become an online experience. However, while it's extremely convenient to buy anything, anywhere, at any time, the social aspect of shopping has been lost. LiSA is hoping to bring this back, providing a content management system that allows online sellers to offer live and social shopping experiences to their customers.
Following trends in China, where social discovery of brands drives up to a third of eCommerce sales, LiSA wants to revolutionise how European retailers use customer data, using it to drive discovery rather than hoarding it for insights. Its white label platform provides a range of sales tools to be used with sales content and a content management system designed for social shopping. It has so far shown remarkable results: with brands such as Marks & Spencer, Avon and L'Oréal as early adopters, it has yielded 90% increases in customer engagement levels and conversion rates of up to 35%.
LiSA has secured investment that it is using to further develop its product, aiming to create a one-stop-store for social and live shopping. It is also aiming for international expansion, scaling its capabilities to make this a possibility. As social discovery becomes an increasingly important revenue channel for online business, LiSA stands to build a very significant business in this space.
