Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial operations and commercial operations leadership roles, with at least 10 years in the MedTech, healthcare, or digital health space, preferably in cardiovascular technology or imaging
- Extensive experience in optimizing and scaling Salesforce (CRM) infrastructure, with hands-on experience building out Salesforce capabilities and managing CRM systems across commercial functions (sales, marketing, client success, client services)
- Proven track record of success in early-stage MedTech or digital health organizations that have scaled, ideally to the point of becoming publicly traded
- Experience supporting both U.S. and international commercial operations, with the ability to adapt processes and infrastructure for different regional needs
- Strong understanding of the operational, financial, and strategic challenges faced by companies transitioning from early-stage to publicly traded status
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with experience building, leading, and scaling small teams within commercial operations
- Highly proficient in Salesforce and CRM system management, including driving adoption and usage across sales, marketing, client success, and client services teams
- Data-driven mindset, with experience using CRM tools to extract actionable insights and inform decision-making
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various teams, including IT, sales, marketing, client success, client services, and leadership

What the job involves
- The Vice President of Commercial Operations will play a critical operational role in supporting Cleerly Health’s global growth and the execution of commercial strategies set by the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
- You will focus on optimizing and scaling commercial operations, with a strong emphasis on managing day-to-day commercial activities, process improvement, and ensuring the infrastructure is in place to support Cleerly’s growth
- This role also involves leading and developing a small but highly effective team, which includes a Director of Commercial Operations and three Commercial Operations Analysts.
- You will play an essential role in driving operational efficiency and scaling the team as Cleerly grows, ensuring that the team can support both Cleerly’s U.S.-based operations and international expansion
- A key aspect of this role is having extensive experience in building out Salesforce (CRM) infrastructure to improve commercial operations and provide the data-driven insights needed to drive performance across sales, marketing, and client-facing teams
- Key Responsibilities:
- Execution of Commercial Operations:
- Work closely with the CCO to support the execution of Cleerly’s overall commercial strategy, ensuring alignment and efficient execution across all commercial teams
- Oversee the operational implementation of Cleerly’s go-to-market efforts, including managing cross-functional collaboration between sales, marketing, client success, client services, and business development teams
- Ensure commercial operations are well-aligned with Cleerly’s product roadmap and overall growth strategy
- Salesforce (CRM) Infrastructure and Data Optimization:
- Take ownership of the Salesforce (CRM) platform, ensuring that it is optimized and used effectively across the organization
- Drive the implementation of new Salesforce capabilities, features, and integrations to support growth in sales, marketing, and client success functions
- Collaborate with IT, sales, marketing, client services, and client success teams to build out and maintain Salesforce infrastructure that enables seamless data flow, reporting, and customer relationship management
- Provide training and support to commercial teams to ensure they can leverage Salesforce tools to maximize efficiency, track performance, and drive client engagement
- International Expansion and Market Penetration Support:
- Support the execution of international expansion efforts by aligning commercial operations with global market needs and building operational processes that scale across regions
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure that Cleerly’s commercial infrastructure and operations are prepared for international growth, including refining systems for new market entries
- Work with the CCO and other executives to ensure a smooth transition from domestic to international market strategies, ensuring that the infrastructure is in place to support global operations
- Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement:
- Identify, develop, and implement key processes and systems to improve efficiency, streamline operations, and enhance team collaboration
- Regularly evaluate current operations and recommend solutions to enhance the effectiveness of the commercial teams across the business
- Create and manage reporting systems to track commercial operations metrics, ensuring that data is accurate and actionable for decision-making
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and mentor a small team of Commercial Operations professionals, including a Director of Commercial Operations and three Commercial Operations Analysts
- Provide strategic oversight and tactical guidance to the team to ensure that operational objectives are achieved and that the team is equipped to meet Cleerly’s evolving needs
- Foster a high-performance, results-oriented culture within the team, supporting professional growth and development through training and coaching
- Scale the commercial operations team as Cleerly grows, ensuring that the team remains aligned with company goals and can support expanding operational needs
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Support:
- Partner with the sales, marketing, client success, client services, and IT teams to ensure alignment and optimize operational performance across the commercial organization
- Ensure smooth collaboration between commercial operations and other teams (e.g., finance, HR, product development) to ensure alignment of resources and seamless execution of commercial goals
- Collaborate with finance teams to develop accurate forecasts, track budgets, and report on commercial performance
- Performance Management & Reporting:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for commercial operations and provide regular reports to the CCO and leadership team on progress
- Implement data-driven decision-making processes using Salesforce and other tools to track sales performance, marketing efforts, and client engagement across the business
- Provide actionable insights to the CCO and commercial team to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and effectiveness of the commercial organization
Our take
Traditional heart disease evaluation methods, such as a coronary angiogram, can be invasive - a catheter is threaded through the arm or leg to reach the heart, where it injects dye into its arteries so X-ray images can capture how blood flows through the vessels.
