Who you are
- This position is best suited for an individual who is looking to grow their career in Product Management
- Most importantly, successful candidates will be fast learning self-starters and team players that will grow into playing a critical role in delivering services to our clients
- A high technical acumen is important, with specific knowledge of web-based technologies and a keen interest in how things work
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with preference to Business or Technology (Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or other development related fields)
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in product management, banking, business analysis, or enterprise software customer service
- A keen interest in how some of our world’s largest organizations move money, information and data across a variety of systems. A demonstrable interest or exposure to enterprise technology would also be extremely relevant
- Experience leading agile development teams, with practice managing multiple JIRA projects and leading sprint planning, grooming and execution
- Familiarity with practical, real-world applications of APIs would be very relevant to this position. This includes an understanding of API integrations, general API nomenclature, and tools such as Postman for testing and debugging APIs
- Demonstrable familiarity with any high-level programming language is interesting, but not required. We use mediums such as XML and JSON, and other technologies such as Java, Node.js and Kotlin
- Willingness to question and bring ideas to the table about how to improve processes rather than stick to the status quo
What the job involves
- FISPAN is looking for a full-time Product Manager to join our growing Product team, which lives at the intersection between Strategy and Technology at FISPAN
- The successful candidate will play a key role in improving our Partner products and managing our technical relationships with FISPAN internal teams
- Act as the primary point of contact for partner-facing product development projects including specification analysis, solution design, development oversight and end-to-end testing
- Write clear and detailed product specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria, translating technical requirements into actionable tasks
- Play a significant part in managing and driving the execution of the product growth from a technical and platform perspective
- Synthesize product feedback, analyze bank specifications, and support architecture design with business context
- Work closely with front-end and back-end Engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility and efficient execution of product features
- Work closely with Account Manager and Customer Experience teams to ensure successful handoffs are made for new product launches, as well as establish and maintain effective practices for transitioning a project through its journey at FISPAN
- Should be comfortable producing external customer facing documentation (with support of appropriate Design resources) and product demonstrations aimed at existing and prospective Partners, namely banks, consultants and ERP platforms
- Support product launches post go-live to monitor any bugs and/or change requests
- Work with diverse people from a wide range of backgrounds

It’s no help that this group has historically been radically underserved by legacy banks, but now the tide is turning: many banking institutions are doubling down on improving the quality and efficiency of their commercial banking solutions, and software company FISPAN is helping them get there.
FISPAN helps companies embed their commercial banking services into the existing ERP or accounting software their customers use to run their business. It’s a great way for banks to outsource the level of innovation required to keep up with commercial client demand - and, therefore, a great way of competing with the more agile neobanks, who are siphoning off legacy banking clients in substantial numbers.
FISPAN’s astute positioning has made its platform increasingly attractive for banks under pressure to keep up with the break-neck pace of change in fintech. It’s taking advantage of it too, with plans to expand to the lucrative European and Asian Pacific banking markets.
