Vice President of FP&A, Galaxy

• 5+ years’ experience
• An understanding of various asset classes (FX, futures, options, etc.) and how to model their economic impact on a firm (P&L and capital)
• Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets including managing data pipelines to support development of a unified FP&A data warehouse
• Intellectually curious self-starter, comfortable in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment
• Highly detailed oriented with excellent communication skills

Desirable

• Working as part of the FP&A team, you will be on the frontlines of maintaining and developing financial models and associated KPIs for our various business units – with a focus on trading and protocol services
• These models feed management reporting whose audience includes individual traders/teams and company executives
• A candidate should be able to conceptualize the “big picture” and translate concepts into detailed tactical execution plans while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
• This person should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability and “grit” necessary to manage multiple high priority tasks
• Develop and maintain various P&L models, and their associated internal and external KPIs, across daily, weekly and quarterly reporting
• Ensure accuracy of FP&A models by automating reconciliations
• Leverage Python and SQL to own model development, build data pipelines, and automate workflows
• Manage projects translating Excel and python based models into automation requirements with Galaxy’s Technology team
• Work with business units, technology and FP&A team members to model new business requirements
• Provide ad-hoc analyses to support the business and CFO’s organization
